Have car seat, will travel
Today I went to Great Grandma Olga’s house. It was really nice to go somewhere different for a change. I want to go back there soon because it smelled like yummy Italian food. I like Italian food…or at least I like it when Mommy eats Italian food.

Lunch time!
Katrina insisted that we post this picture on the blog. At the time, I didn’t think it was as funny as she did. But looking back on it…it’s funny, but not THAT funny.
Anyway, I guess Bennett wanted to share some of his lunch with me. Thanks Pal, not interested. I just love the look on his face of “Hey Mommy, look what I did to Daddy! He he he he he…”
So, enjoy.

Lunch time!

Bennett in his basinette
The basinette that we’re using is very special to the Kazanjian family.
For those of you who do not know its history, it was purchased in 1940 when my aunt Sandra was born. After that my uncle Ed and finally my father also used it.
It was then used by the next generation for my cousins Paula, Lana, Krista and Karen, and then finally for myself.
Now it’s time for our generation to get to use it for our children. A little over a year ago it was brought back to service when my cousin Karen and her husband Paul brought their daughter Marianna into the world.
Now it’s Bennett’s turn. When it was not being used by family, family friends used it. In sum, over twenty babies have slept in this basinette. It has certainly done its job in its sixty-five years of service. It’s in such great shape that it has at least another sixty-five to go.
It’s just very special to me that it has been used by not only my father, then me and now Bennett, but also by that entire side of my family.

If I’ve left anything out, someone please let me know.

Another visitor!
Today, Daddy’s cousin Krista came to visit me. It was a very nice visit and I got to hear all about so many different babies Cousin Krista has visited and still needs to see. Such a busy lady!

Make Way for Bennett
Today, Aunt Margie sent me with Mommy and Daddy on a trip into the city. We went to the Public Garden for a picnic! Although it was a cloudy day, I liked being outside to enjoy the fresh air. We all sat under a big oak tree and ate our lunch and then took a nice walk across the street to the Boston Common and then back to the Public Garden. Then we were lucky enough to get to ride on the Swan Boats on their last day of operation before closing for the fall. After that, Mommy and Daddy had just enough energy to take me to see the characters from my favorite book, Make Way for Ducklings. All in all, it was a nice afternoon, but boy was I tired!

Here I am all packed up and ready for the drive into the city.

Mommy and Daddy set up a nice blanket for me to hang out on while we had our lunch.

Here I am with Mommy on the Swan Boats. It was such a relaxing ride that I couldn’t resist nodding off.

Sometimes I get in funny positions when I sleep. Mommy and Daddy think it’s cute.

Then I sat with Daddy for part of the ride. You can see other Swan Boats in the background.

Of course, I was still asleep.

Mommy took my picture with Daddy and Mrs. Mallard and the eight ducklings.
