Mommy’s Outnumbered
Apparently, I am not just a little baby… I am a baby boy. And there are little babies out there not like me. I think they’re called grills — or was it girls. Anyway, I like the sound of “boy” better.
Sorry, there aren’t any pictures that are “conclusive” if you will. You’ll just have to take my (and Dr. Bundy’s) word for it.
I overheard Mommy and Daddy talking about names tonight. I don’t know what a name is (I thought I already was a boy), but I think I want one.

Mommy’s Progress (17 Weeks, 2 Days)
Here’s two more. For some reason Katy really wanted her picture taken in front of the Saab. She said something like “Yeah, a sexy momma and a sexy car.”
I couldn’t agree more.

Tiny Movements
Finally, they have started. The fluttering feeling of a little baby moving around inside me and letting me know, several times a day, that it is there. Sometimes it feels like tiny butterflies, other times it feels like the pop of a bubble. I think I smile every time I feel it. The funniest part is that we have seen this baby in action on ultrasound, and I know for a fact that this baby is a mover and a shaker, non-stop. So, I expect to feel more within the next few weeks. For now, it is just comforting and amazing.
I have heard one interesting wives’ tale. Some believe that if you count forward exactly 5 months from the day you first feel a movement, that will be the day you deliver. If this is true, I will deliver on September 12, 13, or 14th. (I wasn’t sure at first what I was feeling). So, we shall see…

Mommy feels better
Magically, somewhere around the day I became 16 weeks pregnant, I started to feel better. It could be due to the many stern talks Jerry has had with the baby over the last few weeks, warning the baby that if it continued to make Mommy feel so sick, maybe we would start docking its allowance. So, either the baby is obedient and already values the dollar, or my hormones finally just settled out. Honestly, I don’t really care. Now, I can focus on more important things like waiting to feel the baby move. It should happen anytime…and I can’t wait!

Here’s photo number 2, which we took before heading out for Great Grandma’s birthday dinner.
